Shyam,

You can very well rename the movement types. However I am little doubtful on the kind of advantage you will get by just renaming an existing movement type, as the users will at no time have the option to select a movement type during a transaction. Unless there are work instructions for the user to select a particular movement type, it will not be necessary for them to select any. If there is an instruction, anyway it will be on movement type and not just on the description.

If you want to change it, please do it with the help of an MM guy as this falls in MM module (OMJJ)

You can use the transaction OMJJ and change the description of the movement type. But the description of the standard movement types are self explanatory and meaning ful, why do you want to rename them?
