Customers and Vendors can be "extended" to new company codes in ECC. In MDM if you want to do this then you need to build the company code fields into the MDM data model. The only way to do this is by creating a qualified lookup table which contains all of the attributes required to extend to a new company code.

Hi Lakshmi

Adding to what others said. A material can exist in several products and this information is stored by help of qualified table in MDM. In SAP we need to extend the material to new plants/storage locations but in MDM it will be same record with two entries in the qualified table and plant becomes a non qualifier. you can see this in the standard repository for material from MDM std bus content.

HI,

CUSTOMER :

You need to create a Qualified Table called Company code.

if you are dealing with Partner Details,In this Qualified Table,(CUSTOMER) then Company Code is the Non-Qualifier and the Sales Org,Dist Channel, Divison ,Partner function and other related fields are Qualifiers.Because all these fileds are dependent on Company Code.

For clear understanding, go thro XD01 for Customer and XK01 for Vendor and speak to your functional consultant to understand the Master data fields ,then it will be helpful for you to design the repo in MDM.

Thanks,

Felix

Vendor Master and Customer Master generally comes from LFA1 and KNA1 tables form R3 side. Are you sure these tables have 'Company Code' field also? I think you are talking about Employee's Master.

So if it does not exist in Customer/Vendor repository then its not manadatory.
