what is the safe way to move log volume to another disk?

Hi,

i want to move a log volume, from one disk to another, to improve I/O of log writer, reading the docs i understand the follow:

1. make a complete backup

2. stop the database

3. mv /disk1/log01.dat /disk2/log01.dat

4. change the log volume Device/File field to point to /disk2/log01.file

5. starts again database.

this is the right steps?
