Can we set up SSO between MDM and Portal?

Hi,

Is it possible to setup the SSO between MDM system and Portal? we are using the we are using the UWL to display some of the MDM work items and also installed/deployed the MDM business package on portal.

Now tt is necessary to have some kind of SSO between portal and MDM. But when I am trying to create the system in the portal for MDM, by using MDM template there is know option to mention to use the SAP longon tickets instead of user id pwd.

I know one way of achiving SSO with user mapping, it is not a good solution as we have lot of MDM users....

Please let me know if anybody had in this pogition before and able to user SAP logon tickets in MDM to set up SSO.

I don't think there is a good way to set up SSO with MDM (at least I've never seen it). But what you can do is set up LDAP for your users. That way the user is created once in the Portal, and you can map that user to an ID in MDM.

Thanks for the Info, yes i raised oss message with sap and they told it would be available from MDM7.1.
