What is the purpose of executing /$sync

IN BI 7.0 we have run a number of process chains, after which we get an error that asks us to run /$sync to resolve

My questions is why? and what happens when we do this?

Just need to know < not just to keyboard....

Dear Maria,

/$CUA -- Reset CUA buffers.

/$NAM -- Reset name tab buffers.

/$SYNC -- Reset all buffers.

/$SYNP -- Reset screen buffer.

/$TAB -- Reset table buffers.

/$ST -- Executing transaction memory usage.

Nagendra.

Hi Chandra,

This is the SAP-GUI history (Local handled on the client), so not related to this thread...

However to delete single field history from your SAP-GUI, you just have to select the entry from the history and press the delete key on the keyboard.

Hope this helps

Rolf

That part I understand, but, is it because there is a job that has filled these up ? how do they get out of sync?

??

It's the buffer-temporal memory in SAP.
