Hello,
We have a problem with changing the account group of a customer. Originally this customer was created as internal, but changed by accident into a sold-to customer. We have tried to change the account group back , but it seems no longer possible. System is saying the following:
"The planned change is not allowed as the following field groups would be masked by the new account group"
Can anything be done as this customer number needs to be used

We can change the Customer from Ship to Party to Sold to Party but we can't change Ship to Party to Other Group.

hello, friend.
changing the account group back into it's original settings is still possible as long as:
1. there have been no transactions for the customer that might preclude this (for example: ship-to changed to sold-to, may not be changed back to ship-to if this customer has been used as sold-to in sales orders)
2. the settings for the fields are the same from source to target account groups (check field status of the two account groups if they are the same... if not, the system will give you the exact message that you got).

It is a bit confusing. In which Account Group the internal customer was created earlier?
How the Internal Customer was changed to Sold to Party?
Please explain clearly to get a better solution.

Hi,
We can change the Customer from SH (Ship to Party), BP (Bill to Party) or PY (Payer) to SP (Sold to Party) but we can't change SP to any other Account Group, because SP contains all the Functions & Partner Functions by default. So you cant change it.
