Business Graphics Tutorial: graphics rendering problem

Hello,

I did the tutorial "business graphics". Deploying the project I get the error: graphics rendering problem

Is there anything first to set up, I forgot?

Hi Mario,

"The GeoMap UI element can only be used with a special software component that is provided by the geographical maps.

This software component which you can use to expand the Internet Graphics Service (IGS) is not included in the delivered SAP Web Application Server package. It must be purchased from a third-party provider. The GeoMap UI element cannot be displayed without this complementary software component."

Hi all,

I was able to display a chart by using the business graphic UI element. But i was not able to display the map by using the Business graphic - Geomap. I am getting the error "Graphics Rendering Problem".Where should be the problem?

Hi Mario,

Go to this link .It contains steps for installing igs

After installing igs see whether you can see it on the services in mmc

Hive the listener port as 8030

After the installation go to the default page as given below

http://<server name>:8030

If the igs service is running you will get a default page

After that go to this link and do the sample application

have you provided the <b>igsurl</b> .

if not.

put the url where your igs is runnig forexample

http://172.17.50.148:40080

in igsurl propery of the <b>businessgrphicsUIElement</b>

because the <b>BusinessgraphicsUIElement</b>

<b>GEOMap</b> etc, such a elements make use of the services provided by the <b>internet graphic server</b>(igs).

all these uielements will run on this server.

The url http://<server>:40080 is working. But how to call my file which is present in C:/usr/sap/server/dvebmgs00/igs/data.

i have put my geomap related files in the above path (C:/usr/sap/server/dvebmgs00/igs/data.)

How can i call this. What is the igs url for calling this service.
