Other than this, if you try loading data in Interactive Planning when LC is down, you get error message 'LC anchor not found' or something similar to this. This will tell you that the LC is down.
It would be worth asking this question in the MaxDB/Livecache forum as there may be something you can check at the database level. As the others have said LC10 is the transaction to check the status but there is no field as such that holds this information in the display as it shows as a traffic light.
