Hi dear friends, In srm is't required ,Both Replication (meterial/vendor ) and Data transfer . And pl tell me the difference b/w above.

I also having similar confusion on this as a Techno-functional I was confused on this, whether it is necessary to transfer data (Vendor/Plants) from backend to SRM through data transfer techniques or using simple Txn's in SRM. If so what is the purpose of using these two.

The question is not clear

but still

In SRM

you can replicate materials from backend

and create locally as well

and both of these can be used for shopping or sourcing

Similarly vendors can be downloaded from backend or created locally.

External business partners are created in SRM for both of these.

You can link them to backend vendors.

For material & others (cust + bus objects) download, SRM uses CRM middleware since filtering and other enhancements are required.

For vendor download there is a straight TXN of BBPGETVD
