where do we find the installation and error logs during and after installation of SAP on LINUX

Hi Tony,
the installation logs are in two places:
/tmp/sapinst_*
and the folder in which you started the installation, e.g. /tmp/install_sap
The log files after the installation can you find here:
/usr/sap/<SID>/<Instance+NR>/work <-- ABAP
/usr/sap/<SID>/<Instance+NR>/j2ee/cluster/{serverX,bootstrap,dispatcher} <-- Java
This information is also written down in the numerous SAP installation and administration guides
