Conversion of error message to warning message

Hi

I am facing one error message KI280 while doing PGI.

It is regarding creation of Cost element in controlling area.

The G/L which system has asked to create as cost element was never created as cost element till date and everything was working fine.

This message has only appeared for some 3 deliveries.

I got a solution that the message can be converted to warning message using OBA5.

Now what are the consequences if I convert the error message to warning message.

Points will be rewarded.

hi,

Changing the status of message is not a big deal but it is going to effect the process in future.

for eg if you are issuing any material for cost centre then it asks for a g/l account and cost centre number.

here its a error because if you maintain thi =sinfo then the fi doc gets generated and we can finally maintain a report of the goods issue to cost centre.

if you dont maintain and save the document then its waste of use as it dose not maintain any report.

what is the use of changing the message status.

what is the error you are getting?
