PGI Error

While doing PGI error message promtps as under:

MT: E

Area: KI

Msg: 280

Item: 9001 & 9002

Message Text: "Create account 32000040 for 05.05.2008 as a cost element in controlling area 1000"

This message appears after applying patches received from SAP.

Actually this G/L is not bound to create as cost element.

Please provide your inputs to solve this error.

Hi Chintan,

To create the GL account as a cost Element goto KA01 and Specify your Controlling Area (1000) and Specify the GL Account (32000040).

Now try to do the PGI.

Hi Chintan,

Seems that some of the cost elements are not retained after the patch. Please get in touch with an FI consultant along with BASIS. They should find out why and how was this cost element deleted (or what happened to it) and then reinstate the same.
