Hi Friends,
I attached one originals in DMS.Now i want to change the file name(rename the file).
Is there any FM available for this requirement.
Or do you have any idea to achieve this functionality.
Thanks & Regards,
Senthil Kumar Anantham
Hi,
Following are the ways for renaming the original application file once you have checked-in storage area.
1. you can checkout the file on you local drive and rename it as per requirement and again check-in.
2.You can use the option "you cannot rename the temporary files" using t.code DC30 under required workstation application.
set this option only if your viewer application does not allow you to rename the file.
3. if point no.1 & 2 are not suitable then do the following,
in your DIR, just edit the original application file which has to be renamed, a pop-up window will appear which contains details of Data Carrier and the path for the existing original application file.
under this path just rename the original application file name as per required, and say OK.
original application file will open, here do some changes if required or just close this original application file and then without checking in the file just save ur DIR.
open the DIR again using CV02N and then you can see your original application file which is renamed.
check-in this file and save ur DIR.
a copy of the renamed file is created at the given path on ur local drive while renaming as temp file.
Thank You,
Manoj

hi ..
one way,
you save the file on local desktop and rename it and upload it.
or go to dc30, open workstation application,
there is a option :you cannot rename temporary file , check that one.
