Using proxy on the central IS systeem

Hello,

i want to do the following:

i want to use a proxy on the same systeem as the central IS(thus the same client). is this possible regarding the configuration of the proxy runtime?

hi Peter,

no you <b>must</b> have a new client on you XI server

(which will be application client - SXMB_ADM)

yes

but it won't have standard R/3 BAPIs and idoc types

(like orders, matmas) no modules too of course

it will be just an empty WAS

but proxies work of course

one more thing

you can install the WHOLE XI server on the R/3

if you have ERP 2004 and XI SP12

you install it on a new client of course
