Certifications doubts.....

Hi folks,

I need certain advice from all of u of SDN forum.

Currently Iam working as an SD consultant in a CMM level 5 company.

My basic backround is B.Tech ( Computers) and MBA in Marketing and IT.

I have got a chance to get certifications in Six Sigma and ITIL from my company.

My question is do these sorts of certifications other than SAP will help me in my Career prospects in the near future??

Your answer to this question will allow me to take a call on these certifications.

You wont get a better oppurtunity to get these certifications which will be surely beneficial. Go for it.

In India,

there are only 2 registered comp's providing sap certifications

i.e. Siemens & Genoveta.

certification from these are valid and will be helpful in your career

Hi,

six sigma / ITIL kind of certifications certainly carry a weight when you go to top MNC's. Its the not question of SAP or someother technology that you are working on but the level of quality does play a crucial role in project implementations. Having a certification is definitely beneficial and I recommend strongly to go for it.
