Cancellation Billing doc not getting released to accounting

The original Billing document has been cancelled. But the accounting

document of the cancellation document has not been generated.

We are getting the error " Automatic clearing of billing document

90318566 and canc. doc. 7651735 not poss.Message no. VF208". We are in

ECC 6.0.

This error has come for the first time. what needs to be done ?.

Dear Amitava

Check ur settings in T-Code VOFA for billing type 'S1'. Check on 'General control' screen Posting block check box.

It should be deactivated.

Posting block is not blocked. I mean, it is not ticked ...

Dear Amit

Go to VOFA, select billing type S1 and see you have maintained S1 for the field "Document Type". Similarly, go to OBA7, select "S1" document type and ensure that for the field "Reverse DocumentType", you have maintained S1. Most probably, in OBA7, you would not have maintained the said data and hence the problem.

In VOFA, document type is Blank for S1. But this has been working since more than 4 years. Why suddenly it is giving an error. We have cancelled other documents, which has gone thru ok , then why the error ?

It is really surprising that you have not maintained S1 in the field Document Type for your cancellation billing type but still it was working. Also how about OBA7 which you have not indicated. Have you checked in OBA7 also ??

I feel that if you maintain as suggested both in VOFA and OBA7, your problem will be solved.

we are not maintaning this doc type , S1 in OBA7.

we have a z table , which is :

It has been working since many years. Why this is not getting released, not able to get any clue ..
