hai SAP-XI experts,
can u tell me the difference between transport and message protocol.
hi
Protocol is the set of rules between 2 or more parties to exchange messages over a media.
Messaging Protocol is the one concern with proving messaging framework for constructing messaging that can successfully flow over media (internet ) with help of transport protocols.
for example : SOAP(partly), ICMP
Transport Protocol are the ones which is concerned in transporting the constructed messages successfully to the receiver over the media (Internet).

Hi Vijaya,
Transport Protocol says how the message is being to be Transfered so that it can be processed by Adapter.
Message Protocol says how the message is to be converted from its native format into XML format using the correct Protocol
