SAP_ABA. support packege Error

Hiii,

I have fresh Install SAP 4.7 with sql 2000 on win200 server. after installing sap . when I first update my SAP_ABA support pack . it is giving error. That is software component SAP_ABA

IMPORT PHASE CHECK REQUIREMENT

and when I see in PACKEGE LEVEL it show redesh color in SAP_ABA.

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM .

Please provide error details mentioned in the ALOG and SLOG.

what ia ALOG and SLOG . how I will check these log ?

On the left side on the screen you can click on "Log File SLOG" and "Log File ALOG" for more details and where to find it.

SLOG : This file gives an overall view of all imports running in the SAP System.

ALOG : This file contains individual return codes for all the transport steps performed in the transport directory.

The log files are located under /usr/sap/trans/log

yes it's mandatory TMS, while applying the patch it wil connect to TP so with out TP , u cannot . and check the patch level requirments , it shows any dependencyies , if so then fallow that.

I have not configured TMS in this system right now. Is it required before support pack?

yes STMS must be configured before applying support packs.
