export and empty folders - SAP Community

Am I right in saying the export project facility does not export empty web folders, or is there some secret switch somewhere?

Yes.

I just tested this and it holds true for catalog as well.

But were you trying this just like that or does this affect anything?

My project puts temporary files from a database into a folder, then deletes them periodically. When I did the transport there was nothing in this folder, so the first time I tried this project in QA it didn't work.

I'll just have to remember in future to leave a file in this folder.
