I need to patch my ERP 6.0 to SPS12. One of the SAP notes says "You must apply R3trans patch 148 before you begin upgrading to ERP SPS12."
can I patch R3trans without patching the entire kernel?

Yes you can patch , download from SMP and apply it.

Yes you can patch R3trans without upgrading the entire Kernel, but you need to patch TP also along with R3tans. The latest patch available is 157.
