Hi Guys,

Where do we maintain serial numbers in sales order or delivery?

I am assuming that if i have a material A with quantity 2 then i will have two serial numbers.

Hi,

You can enter the serial number either in the sales order under menu -> Extras -> Technical objects (if you know beforehand what serial number your customer wants) or in the delivery.

Hello,

You can maintian serial number in both order an delivery, but as a normal practice we maintian serial number in the delivery level only. There can be some rule maintianed, which makes the serial number mandatory n the order, but not used much.

If you have the material in 2 numbers, you can create two serial numbers by txn IQ01 and assign it in the delivery.
