Need - Settings of Target Client for BDLS execution after Hom System Copy

Dear All,

I have performed a homogeneous client copy.

Can someone help me with the settings of the target client necessary, to run the BDLS.

Also, guide me about the entries to be made in BDLS screen.

Refer SAP not number 325470 and 121163 for information you need.

Although notes are for BW systems. Will help you in the process.

are the necessary details to be checked/maintained while running BDLS.

Following details would help you running the BDLS:

1. Start transaction BDLS

2. The default name displayed is the old logical system name.

3. Enter the new name of the logical system.

You can also simulate the conversion in the report test mode. Here only the affected tables and the number of table entries to be converted are displayed. The table entries in the database are not converted. You can evaluate the results and assess the runtime.

The report performs the following steps:

Determines all the active, transparent database tables whose fields have references to the following domains:

· LOGSYS

· EDI_PARTNUM

Converts the field values to the new logical system names

Updates the database

You have not mentioned version of SAP you are working on.

Hi Rahul,

It was reallly a helpful answer.But yes, there are still few things which we are still looking for an answer for.

What are the necessary client settings for executing BDLS in the target client.

Also, can we execute BDLS multiple times if things are not converted in one time.

Like if we execute the BDLS once w/o opening the client, then what can be done thereafter

( guess this is actual problem)

Just to answer your query, the system is SAP Netweaver 2004s SR2
