Hi Vishwesh,

In Demand Planning you have three way of forecast generation

1. Univariate - your statistical forecasts

2. MLR - Causal Variable

3. Composite - combination of forecast profile.

Typically, you won't run forecast just with the standard available models. Every industry (some extent every company) has different needs & ways to forecasting.

MLR uses causal variables for creating forecast. You can form a function with various independent variables to arrive at demand. Say, if certain promotion provides increase in your demand can be modelled using MLR.

Composite as the name says, is a combination of one or more forecast profile. It can be univariate or MLR or combination of them. This allows the users to get better forecast results as the data goes through multiple iterations of different models.

You have to individually maintain these profiles in your Master profile and execute them from interactive table.
