Error in Recever Mail Adapter (Communication Channel)

Hello Experts,

I am getting below error in recever Adapter Communication Channel. I have given SMTP, XIALL,PLAIN parameters, i have given proper: SMTP://compnay.com & correct user id and password, i browse throug all most all related links.

Exception caught by adapter framework: java.io.IOException: server does not support PLAIN or LOGIN authentication

Mail: error occured: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: java.io.IOException: server does not support PLAIN or LOGIN authentication

Delivery of the message to the application using connection Mail_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: java.io.IOException: server does not support PLAIN or LOGIN authentication.

Gaurav Bhargava,

My scenario is FTP Server -> XI -> Mail Server.

file picking up successful from FTP into XI, and i am getting error when message trying to get into Receiver mail adapter:

Transport Protocol: SMTP

Message protocol: XIALL ( i tryed with XIPAYLOAD also, still same error)

URL: SMTP://smtmail.company.com (port for mail server is: 25, i.e default)

i have selected the check box for user authentication:

authentication method : plain ( when i tryed with CRAM-MD5, i am getting CRAM-MD is not supported by mailhost)

my out look user id: user01 @company.xx

password: ****

from: user01 @company.xx

to: user02 @company.xx

subject: mail adapter test.

i have tryed in all possible ways.

Remove your outlook user id and password and keep authentication mode as Plain and try in mail adapter configuration.

Than you verymuch, now after removeing pw and username, mail adapter is working fine, once agian tahnks for ur help.

HI Siva

Are you trying to send Email from any file send by system or Read by PI and send as Email.

Please describe your Scenario.

If your email is generated from the content provided by Integraton engine use Message protocol XI PAYLOAD instead of XIALL.

Using Authentication you change from Plain to CRAM-MD5. then it might not give any error

Your URL should be SMTP://mailhost.company.com

I have tested by using all the possible ways as you suggested me, even i am getting same error in Recever communication channel.
