When I debug the Web Dynpro, the second (go to)view is not even there. Any suggestions what I should be checking?

Have you linked the inbound plug of view2 to outbound plug of view1.
Have you fired the outbound plug from view1
Actually, it was the other way around. I did not assign the outbound plug of view 1 to the inbound plug of view 2.
Beginners error.
