hi xi experts,
can u explain why we use abstract category in message interface when dealing with bpm.
Hi,
an outbound Message Interface is the interface from a external system to XI.
An Integration Process (BPM) is part of the XI and an abstract Message interface is the interface between the "normal" XI scenario and the BPM.
So maybe you could imagine it like that:
Sender System -> Outbound Message Interface -> XI -> Abstract Interface1 -> BPM -> Abstract Interface2 -> XI ->Inbound Message Interface

Hi Vijaya,
Absolutley. BPM can interact and deal with only Abstract Interfaces. And so, if you have a transformation step inside the BPM , the source and target interface will have to be abstract interfaces.
The interface mapping will be between Abs Interfaces in the IR.
Abstract Interface : which has no direction(inbound and outbound).
Reward points if this helps

Hi,
Abstract interfaces are hiddeen interface.
BPM can understood these interfaces, these are directional
less , i mean not as inbound or outboud.
in the runtime, we need to collect or parallel processing of message based on Time..etc, in that situation we can plan for BPM.

Hi,
In BPM it accepts only abstract interfacess, it doesn't no inbount or outbound.
Abstract means both inbound and outbound. Means it can take the input messsages and producess the output messages from that abstract interface.

Hi,
Abstract interfaces are used in Business Process Management(BPM).
An interface used in BPM must able to send and recieve messages of same interface.Abstract interface is used for this purpose.
It can be used as sender as well as reciever interface.
Thanks
