Unable to create customer

Hi,

I am getting the following message while creating customer for act group with external no. assignment.

"Act group xxxx uses ext no. assignment. specify and account number"

And please briefly explain about internal and external no. assignment.

Hello,

Here the account group of sold-to-party uses external number assignment, so you need to specify a number for the customer master (externally).

If you want to make it as internal then:

Go to SPRO --> Financial Accounting --> Account receivable and payable --> Customer accounts --> Preparations --> number ranges , you can see the external number range is checked, you need to uncheck it. aftert that the system will create the customer with internal number.

in xdn1 create nunber range.

in obar assign to your account group(number of acc group showing in error message)

Hi

For the account group, the number range specified in transaction OVT0 is external. the number range can be controlled as per this account group.

Check transaction XDN1 and OBAR for the number range assignment.

hi,

after creating the account groups we will assign the number ranges to that account groups in the transaction code XDN1

and we assign them to the account groups

i think when you defined your number range you might have ticked on the external so you have to enter the number by yourself
