JDBC Drivers for Lotus Domino and IMS

Former Member

Hi,

I'm gathering connectivity options between XI and Lotus Domino and IMS (IBM mainframe db).

Are there JDBC drivers for these? If there are, can somebody please send me a download link?

If not, what are other connectivity options?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,

Rex

Hello every one,

i am a developer of konplan gmbh. My company has just finished the development of an adapter engine for IBM Lotus Notes and SAP XI. It will come to the market in this month.

For more details about our product "adapter engine XInotes", please send email to me:

Hello Rex,

The connection between SAP XI and Lotus Domino can be established in many ways:

- SOAP/HTTP adapter (XI's standard, built in adapters)

- Partner adapter provided by iWay

- Partner adapter provided by konplan (ZeNotes)

To my knowledge, the iWay adapter uses JDBC. For SOAP/HTTP communication, all you need is a simple LotusScript or Java Web Agent in a Notes database. For more information on the ZeNotes adapter by konplan, please contact me via email.

Thanks for the response.

Based on the IBM website, the original Lotus Domino JDBC driver had been out of support since Oct. 2004. The new driver, Lotus NotesSQL is an ODBC driver. IS this the same as a JDBC driver? Do we deploy and implement it the same way it the same way?

Hi Rex,

Frankly i am really not too sure, ODBC is different from JDBC.
