Printing PO in the language of OA (ordering address)

Former Member

Hello all,

In our POs we use partners VN (Vendor) and OA (Ordering address). The PO is printed with the address of OA, the output type NEU has the partner role OA .

Sometimes the language key in the vendor master data of OA is different from the language key in the vendor master data of VN.

When printing a PO the language is always the language from the vendor master data of VN. How to print with the language of OA? Is there any user-exit or some modifications have to be made?

In the PO, in the message NEU the language could be changed, e.g. from DE to EN. But the changed language is ignored and the PO is printed again in the language of the VN.

Thanks&regards

FIrst your Form & Script Should allow the Langauge of "OA"..

then maintain Output Condition record for "OA" in MN04 for OA Language..

Then it will allow ..

The language in the condition record has no influence on the output language, this is explained in note [89899|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/89899].

And the VN partner language is the only one that matters (which is a really pain...)

As said by Pavan, you'll have to modify the print program in order to get the ouptut in the OA partner language.

hello Phillipe,

thanks for your reply.

I know about the note 89899.

If the print program is modified, so that the POs are issued in the OA language, there will be some misunderstanding, because in the PO the output language in the message NEU will be one (the language of the VN) and the really output is in another language (the language of the OA)....

Kind regards

you may get some more trouble.

Lets do an example:

the PO is maintained in the vendors language, lets assume it is French.

And your order adress vendor has language Spanish.

All your free entered texts are stored in language FR

All the customized descriptions like shipping conditions are copied to PO in language FR .

Now you are printing in ES.

How will you get these texts in Spanish ? You probably just get the Form in Spanish. But you would have to read the texts from its original language.

Hello Jürgen,

Thanks for the reply, you are right.

This "trouble" could be solved, there is a standard SAP message 06132:"Reference document has different document language. Check that the adopted texts are correct or whether they need to be translated"

This message appears, when you change the language in the PO in the communication tab (bevor saving the PO).

Something like this could be used, if there is any possibility (user-exits or modific.) to copy the language from OA into the language in the condition record NEU....

Anyway...

Thank you all again for the help.

Kind regards.

HI,

When you are entering the address of the vendor in the address view there is an icon named INTERNATIONAL VERSION where we can maintain another address in any language.

Why dont you maintain your Ordering Address there and call this address in your PO.

Oops i thought only address you wanted.. Sorry

If you want the total PO to be printed in OA address.

1. chec for language add on is installed

2. translate all the objects into ur OA language

3. *** Check the printer character format*** very important... ask the basis person as in my project also we have EN, TR, BG .. this would certainly solve ur problem.

4. You can change your lanuage to VN or OA language any time durning the creation of PO

Hope you got what I said.

Reward if useful

Thanks & Regards,

Kiran

Thanks for your help.

But there is also the following problem:

In the PO, under button messages the language of the output type NEU is always the language of the partner VN (ekko-spras) and not the language of the OA.

The output type NEU is defined with the partner OA.

Is there any solution (user-exit, modification), so that the language in the PO, in messages Tab is always taken from the language of the corresponding partner in the message NEU (in my case the partner is OA and it has sometimes different language from the VN )?

Thanks+regards

Yes, this can be edited for sure in the smartform or the script as soon as you access the form for printout after the MEDRUCK program determines the data to be output.

you should talk to your developer or someone who specilaizes in developing scripts/ forms for your company.
