Loading Excel data into Cube - Integrated Businres Planning module

Folks,

Any idea if we can load from excel file (similar to Hyperion) BExSetData and BExGetData module to cube?

Looks like we have option of loading data thru web (TEXT file, XML file etc) in Integrated Business Planning module.

I think you meant loading excel file data with Integrated Planning module? What you can do is to simply save the xls file as a text file from microsoft excel and then use the text file for upload.

I mean loading excel file as it is. (without integration planning module). I guess... we can not do this.

Saving excel as text or csv is simple enough. but my need (user...driven) was direct upload.

Hi,

Firstly, Integrated Planning is only needed if you want to load data to a real-time infocube.

Secondly, saving the file as txt or csv is simple enough - users can be easily trained for the process.

User has been loading data intoi Hyperion all time (using excel file), so somehow they think we have to make it possible in BI also.

When a new tool comes up, some changes are imperative.

Even though their is initial inertia among users, generally they agree to new processes if their business needs are met
