BI / HR Structural Authorizations & time-dependency

Hi Guys,

When the HR structural authorizations are extracted into BI, it extracts the authorizations that are valid at the time of extraction and are therefore time-independent.

If the extract is done on a daily basis, would BI keep a historical view of the authorisations and therefore contain time-dependent data?

in the document you requested in the other topic, this is mentioned:

The Structural Authorization brought into BW environment by this datasource (0HR_PA_2) is Time-Independent. It’s a snapshot of the authorizations, which are valid when extraction was performed. This means that historical authorization view from R/3 will not be available. The Calday in the extract structure represents the data of extraction not the date the INDX file was built (when RHBAUS00 was executed). This may not be an issue, if daily extraction is performed.

However, I don't think this completely answers your question because it doesn't mean that an historical view is being kept in the system.

Hi,

What I'd like to know more of relates to the sentence "This may not be an issue, if daily extraction is performed."

What would happen if daily extraction is performed and why would it not be an issue?
