Hi Vijaya,
SDM modes allow you to specify how to run the Software Deployment Manager (SDM) in relation to the J2EE Engine.
It has 2 modes
1. standalone
In "standalone"-mode the SDM server is controlled independently from the server. this is for example mandatory to deploy archives offline (the switch of the SDM modes is done by the SAPInst-processes automatically).
2. integrated
with the "integrated" mode, the SDM server is controlled (started/stopped) by the Java Control Framework, that means everytime you start/stop the server, the SDM starts/stops, too
Normally, you would use the "integrated"-mode.
