Hi All Gurus!

I have a question regarding backup of JDI.

is it only nesecary to create an backup of

the database running on the server which host

the JDI ? Or do we have to take backup

of specific folders on that machine too ?

Best Regards

Hi Ronni,

I would say that a backup of the database should be sufficient because the DTR workspaces and CMS Tracks are contained in the database.

Also the configuration of JDI (e.g. CBS configuration parameters) which you specify via Visual Admin should reside in the database.

Hi Ronni,

you should also backup the jtrans/archives folder because this folder contains all transport and assembly results.

Therefore you can rebuild also old releases (SPs) if you saved these files.

Helmut
