We are unable to view the log files via the console. These files are in an UNIX environment. Is there any special treatment required to see these log files & report in the console ?
Regards,
Vinay
Dear Vinay,
If you could specify the MDM version you are using it would help. We had the same problem when we were using MDM 5.5 SP04. When we upgraded to 5.5 SP05/ SP06 , the issue went away.
Thanks.

Is this the more elaborate scenario wid u folks..
able to see all the audit , load, assertion, workflow, server logs....
but not the Import , MDIS logs
Try setting the MDIS.ini file verbose tag to 0xFFFF from the default zero adn also check where the logs path is in the mds.ini file.
Back up ur mds.ini/mdis.ini beforehand ....Just in case.
Hope it helps!

Hi Vinay,
To view log file in Unix you need to do the following settings:
On Unix, open XML log files in the MDS file system do not
include the closing XML tags. This is because:
(1) Unix administrators generally use tail to follow progress in the logs; and
(2) writing new data before the end of the log, then appending the closing tags would confuse tail, and more importantly crash MDS due to the way Unix deals with file manipulation.
To view a snapshot of an open log in an XML viewer, first make a copy of the log and then append the following closing tags to the copy: </Open></MDM_Log>
I hope I am able to solve your problem
