Reservation number

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a reservation number when you create a delivery and reserve stock against the sales order for that delivery.

I mean to say like in a production order.

Points will be awarded.

Dear saad

If stock is available and if you dont want to do PGI but like to reserve against a particular sale order, you can do so. Go to VL01N, give the shipping point and sale order against which you want to reserve and execute. Now save the document. The respective quantity will be reserved against that sale order.

No thats not what I asked. When you create a delivery the stock gets reserved for that sales order and no other other order can use that stock.

I want to know does the system creates a reservation number in the background or foreground and if so then where can I see it.

Is there a table?

Hello,

It will not generate a reservation number as you can see in the case of PM orders. It will reserve it as sales order stock.
