WebAS 6.40 not allowing Logins

Former Member

Hi,

I installed WebAS 6.4 with MaxDB.

Everything was fine until I edited the profile with RZ10.

======

Used RZ10 to edit parameter: icm/host_name_full = saplinux.dummy.org

---

Shutdown SAP and reboot machine

---

After restart - login as SAP* and

use SE80 to activate BSP application IT00. It caused SAP to hang. The GUI was stuck.

I tried to shutdown SAP, but it was stuck on Checking DB.

Finally rebooted the machine.

(After restarting - SAP does not login)

======

Tried

1. Removing kernel.shmmax=2313682943 from the /etc/sysctl.cnf, and rebooting machine

No luck.

-

So the login screen is displayed but it is stuck there

Has anyone see this before?

hi Divya

Try to change the User id to DDIC or SAP created ones and try doing what you did. SAP* is not the Ultimate user to do all the transactions.

Right Away

ak.

PS: Don't forget about the points if this helps...

Hi:

Have you tried to run DPMON to look at the Dispatcher and work processes status ?

Also, see the developer traces...
