Hello Experts,
Got a question for you:
We use a software called Mercator to monitor our SAP system and oracle database, it alerts us on potential problems that we tell it to look for.
We would like to get it to monitor the Update status field in transaction SM13 in SAP (eg when update is deactivated). However we need to provide Mercator with a table to monitor, I cannot seem to find any table where this status field is kept. Pressing F1 on the field provides nothing and I am unable to find any documentation on this field.
Hope you can help.
Alec

-> Update is always activated.

VBERROR:- Update error information table
VBHDR:- Update header table

Thanks for that, however this does not solve my issue, when system wide problems occur the update process is automatically disabled by SAP as expected. However I need to monitor (via a table entry) when this happens.
Table VBERROR does not contain this information
If it helps within the system log (transaction SM21)
the update terminated message is signified by the message Type R65 (update terminated). Is there a table where all the system log messages are kept as this would fulfil my requirments also.
Hope you can help,
Alec
