Hi All,
When ever I am going to archive repository. It showing some warning message. 'Repository contains fatal error. Do you still want to archive the repository?'
What is the cause of this error?
Is this type of error may occur If I press add button by mistake instead of automap button?
How can I solve this problem?
Should I archive repository after this type of message appear?
Thanks
Thanks all.

I have tried what ever you have said. I have checked the report it is blank.
In log it is showing some assertion (File name and line no. I have found). I have not found any check option after right clicking on repositoty.
I am not getting how to solve this problem.

Hi,
the check option is under the Verify Option
Console->Repository->rightClick->Verify-> Check
->Repair
Try chacking the rep and then repair the Repository if there are some errors.
Sometimes, we need to Perform the repair option multiple times until no error remains.
Hope it helps.
Thanks and regards

Hi,
As the Warning Tells - Your repository has some Fatal Errors.
Hence you can go and check the Repsitory from Console.
Repository->RightClick->Check
And if it shows the same errors, then kindly repair it.
If the errors are fixed, then kindly Archive the repository.
But if the erros are not fixed, then Unload the repository and Load it With Update Indices.
May be you have made some changes to the repository.
Then Repair the repository again.
Hopefully, the errors will get fixed and you will be able to archive the repository with no problems.
Hope it helps.
Thanks and Regards

Hello Pappu,
It always for better practice that before taking the archive of any repository, just verify your repository. If it contains any fatal error then just repair your repository, once it repaired thaen take the archive of any repository.
Is this type of error may occur If I press add button by mistake instead of automap button?
The error which you are getting, it is not because of which you did.
Just verify your repository once and if contains any error then repair it and then take the archive of your repository.
Hope this will help you.

Hi
before archiving MDM offers you the option to verify your repository. You should always do that and from the report Log if there are any fatal errors you can then go for repair of the repository.
Also based on the report file if needed do compacting from console context menu.
Should I archive repository after this type of message appear?
Only when you have followed the above steps. Otherwise a2a file will also contain the fatal errors in it.

Ravi
