material determination

hi gurus,

In material determination i have given 2 materials as substitutes by doing manual selection (0005)

now when i run the sale order , a pop up box appears in that the quantity of both the materials shows 0

eventhough there is enough stock of these materials.

What is the reason for this error ?

Have you checked the availability (not stock) of these materials in transaction CO09?

CO09 is used for the stock requirement list , where you can see the list of orders of that particular matierial also

the scenario which iam facing is in material determination iam entering mat A in an order for 25 units

i have given two materials to be replaced B and C which has stock 20 and 5 units . so when i execute the order items should come like mat B 20 and mat c as 5 in the second line.

but when i enter Mat A it is getting replaced fully by mat B alone to 25 . but the stock for Mat B is only 20 . I need the other material C (5units ) to come in the order

What should i do to get executed ?

or what are the settings i need to do
