Hi ALL ,
can any one tell me the consequences if we change the Description in General Data (Address Tab) in Customer master.
Existing Description:In street Address
Street House number has to be changed to Landmark.
Its urgent!!!!!
Regards,
Rajneesh
Hi,
This is not easy and I would not recommend it.
A simple option is:
instead of changing the street description to landmark and then writing
Field Field Value
Landmark : 'Near the Railway station'
You can write
Street : 'Landmark - Near Railway station'

HI ranjeesh
consequences means like what ? can you elobarote ?
But generally consequences means as far as my knowledge goes , if we change the address / street names then
1) we need to intimate the FI consultants also
2) we may need to change the address of the open line items which are there with the FI .
3) But as you are updating in the master record it genreally gets updated in all present records

Srinath
Hi rajneesh
As it is the master record if you change the address , i think it will affect the FI counsultants also , if any open line items are there
But generally CMR data is updated through LSMW as the CMR data will be huge
If any exceptional cases , like it is urgent and if you need to change the address of the CMR of that particular customer then automatically it will get updated in all records i.e., sales order , accounting etc
But this is not recommended to do

Srinath

hello, friend.
as a general rule, any changes in the customer master will not affect sales documents already created. an exception to this rule is if any changes are made to the address of the Ship-to party customer master, then the changes update all open sales documents.
