Help regarding SRM-MDM landscap and Required Components list..

Dear All,

We are implementing SRM5.0.

Now we are planning to implement SRM-MDM 2.0.

I have gone through lots of documents available at the service market place, but not able to identify which are the list of components are mandatory to run SRM-MDM2.0

If any one can provide me list of SRM-MDM2.0 Components and its dependence that would be gr8 help for me.

Points will be awarded for help.

Hi Vijay,

You can find this information in configuration guide for SRM-MDM Catalog 2.0. on Page no 5 of 36.

This business scenario configuration guide applies to the scenario SRM-MDM Catalog with the corresponding releases of its SAP application components.

Business Scenario Application Component with Minimum

the following MDM 5.5 SP5 components:

MDM Server, MDM Import Server, MDM Console, MDM Data Manager, MDM Import Manager, MDM Workflow ,MDM CLIX

SAP SRM Server (any Release)

SAP Exchange Infrastructure – optional

(Release depending on SAP SRM Server

version)

mySAP ERP 2005 – optional

Hello Vijay,

To implement the whole SRM-MDM Catalog, you need the following componentsof MDM to be installed :

1. MDM Console

2. MDM Data Manager

3. MDM Import Manager

4. MDM Import Server (MDIS- to automate the importing process)

5 MDM Workflow EXE

Note : No need of MDM Sysndicator because there is no sysndicating process as such in the scenario.

About the dependance:

Need of Microsoft Visio version 2000 and above for MDM Workflows.

Need of Any WAS 7.0 and above for deployment of the required file for the scenario.

As per the Standard scenario, you need XI/PI in between of SRM/R3 and MDM System.

And SAP ERP System is the optional System in this scenario, you might be use of it or not but it depends on your requirement.
