hi SAP_XI experts,
can u explain me what is the use of poll interval in the scenario.
Hi,
We are getting the files in the source directory, at some time that file picked by XI and processed, after some time againg the XI searches the directory for files. This time is called the poll interval time, this we mentioned in the communication channel parameters.

Hello Vijaya,
Polling Scheduler Task
Use
When you create a subscription, you can specify how often you want yourself or others to be informed about changes to documents.
Polling scheduler tasks are defined in the standard configuration for every interval.
Overview of Polling Scheduler Tasks
Polling Scheduler Task
Description
DailySubscriptions
The subscribed document is checked for changes daily.
WeeklySubscriptions
The subscribed document is checked for changes weekly.
MonthlySubscriptions
The subscribed document is checked for changes monthly.
Each of these tasks causes the subscription service to check the documents belonging to it at the time specified. If a document has changed, a notification is sent.
A subscription that informs you about every change to a document does not need its own polling scheduling task, as it reacts directly to repository events.
Prerequisites
The subscription service is activated.
Features
The following parameters are available for the definition of a polling scheduler task:

Hi Vijaya,
we require to mention time for polling the data automatically by communication channel.
For example, We have a scenario where in we post 100 files in the source directory and and the file adapter is configured for every 300 sec ...so here this 300 sec you can mention in the poll interval.
Reward points if this helps

Vani.
