i am new to B2B scenarios, in integration directry when we r creating the party , what are all the fields we have mention in this.. under party we want to create business services, how we will create the business services.pls explain me...i am doing RFC-SOAP scenario, for this scenario how many business services are required.
regards,
PASI
Hi Pasi,
Think so the following example clarifies your doubt.....
A Business System is something that physically exists.
Let us assume, you want to download a file from a mainframe, transfer this file with file adapter and put it in an R/3 with an RFC call.
Then the mainframe and the R/3 are your business systems, which do physically exist.
You use Business Service, when the message is not addressed to a Business System in your system landscape. It is used mostly used in B2B scenario, where you don't know the Business Systems of your partner.
Reward points if this helps.....

Vani.

You will need two business services (one for sender and one for receiver).

Hi,
systems in the SLD are defined as technical systems.
If you want to use such a system in XI you create for such a technical a business system and import this in the Integration Directory.
If you want to use a system that is not defined in the SLD you create for it a business service in the Integration Directory.
So to answer your questions:
>for creating the business services not required for any SLD settings, am i correct
Yes you are correct.
> for creating the business services any technical system are required
Not in the SLD, but it's also explained here:
