Tax Rel Classification for Withholding Tax

Dear SAP Gurus,

I'm setting up Withholding Tax (according to SAPnote 178824) but the condition type for the withholding tax is not working. System is looking for field "Tax Rel Classif" (table 397).

I have no idea where to maintain the field. There isn't any field in customer or material master.

Can anyone please help me on this? Without this field, the condition type will never work.

Dear Soo,

The table is A397 and field is J_1ATXREL. You need to enter this for the relevant condition type in transaction VK11.

Thanks for the reply.

In my access sequence, I'm using table A397 and I have maintained it in VK11 but the condition type is not being picked up and from the analysis, it still looking for field J_1ATXREL as it is missing eventhough I have maintained it in VK11.

If you look at SAPnote 178834, it says requirement 83 has to be copied and modified. I'm not sure if I need to use requirement to fill up the value, where I need to use the value from KNBW-WT_WITHCD to fill up KOMK-J_1ATXREL. There isn't much info in the SAPnote.

Any idea? Anyone set up Withholding Tax before??
