hi

during deploying my application , its giving a

exception as Deployment aborted

Connection between SDM client and server is broken

is the exception i am getting

Settings

SDM host : xxxxxx

SDM port : 500xxxxx

URL to deploy : file:/C:/DOCUME1/948137/LOCALS1/Temp/temp51692Customer.ear

Deployment exception : Filetransfer failed: Error received from server: Connection between SDM client and server is broken

Inner exception was :

Filetransfer failed: Error received from server: Connection between SDM client and server is broken

can any one help me out with the issue ?

Pwd what i giving is correct ? is ther any thing that need to

be done ?

Hi

Just Restart the SDM Process

That will solve your problem.

You can do this from within your NWDS itself.

just go to J2EE Engine View and restart the SDM process from there.

hi

thanks for reply ,

i have restarted the SDM , but iam facing the

same problem , and one more thing is iam

working on IDES server and there is no mutiple

deployment scenarios as iam the only working

on it , will the server restart can help me out ?

Hey Murali you will get such an error when ' n ' number of webdynpro developers try to deploy their applications at the same time.To avoid Such situations ask your administrator to create "Dialog Instances".

These dialog instances make the server available by load balancing among various dialog instances and make the system(EP server) a fault tolerant.Restarting of the SDM process aborts other deployments(by other developers).Instead ask the administrator to create Dialog instances so that multiple deployments can be done at the same time

That is error is due to server failure.please restart J2EE server and deploy and run your application again.
