Change the status of WBS from REL to CLSD.

How do I change the status of WBS element from REL to CLSD manually in the transaction CJ02.

The top level WBS element is in REL state so whenever I create a new WBS it is automatically set to REL state.

Please tell me how do I change the status to CLSD manually as this field is disabled for editing.

Hello,

In CJ02. Select the WBS... Go to Edit tab->Status>Close.

Then save the project.

I was trying to change the status by this method and got the error that

"Deactivation date is earlier than the last closing year(2008)". I dont understand why is it showing that.

Could you please give me some inputs on that.

Hi Abhishek,

I presume that this may be the information massage. It is because you may be having your project end date (Actual finish) later in the year 2008 and you are trying to close the project before specified date of finish.
