Dear Friend,

Account group is used to create the master records such sa Customer master, Vendor master etc.

The account group controls the entire master record.

It controls,,,,,

- Which screens and fields you want to use for the master record,

- which fields are mandotory, optional and grey mode,

- which partner functions allowed.

Hello,

The account group determines :

1. Which screens and fields are necessary for entering

master data.

2. Whether you can or must make an entry in these fields.

3. How master record numbers are assigned (externally by you or internally by the system) and the number range from which they are assigned.

4. Which partner functions are valid.

5. Whether the business partner is a one-time customer.

Hi

A customer is created for an account group and controls all the data related to a customer. The account can be viewed in transcation OBD2 and during partner determination account group is created in OVT0.

enter transaction OBD2 and select a particular account group and you have the company code, sales area and gen data tabs. Double click on each tab to get the controls that appear in the customer master.
