Hi Experts,

Do we need to stop the server, when we do hot-fix?

Hot-fix : Doing minor/major changes on the live system

Yes , normal, planned shutdown of server is appropriate,While we do hot-fix

Ans: If it is Java System and Depends upon the Hot-Fix Size.

If it is Hot-Fix is larger then we need to Stop the server.

In Case of R/3 System no need to stop the server.
