NW 7.0 in MSCS: Message- and enqueue server remains on source-node

Hi

We are running a dualstack 7.0 SAP NW system in a 2-node MSCS.

When we move the cluster-group for the SCS and ASCS instances to the other node, then one pair of msg_server.exe and enserver.exe remains on the source node. Everything works fine on target node.

Anyone experienced this and knows the solution?

Hai,

First check by moving only one instance either SCS or ASCS. Where you put the DATABASE group? Is it on the first node or second node? If the datbase group is on one node,move the SAPGROUP(SCS and ASCS) on the other node and check?

Hi

The SCS and ASCS are in the same MSCS group and are moved together. It doen't matter where the DB-group runs.

When the group with SCS/ASCS is moved it "leaves" one msg_server.exe and one enserver.exe on the node from where it is moved

Hi Tom,

check if you have parameter

Autostart = 1

in start profile. If yes, you have to delete it.
