It depends on what "ABAP" you´re talking about (ERP, SRM, SCM, CRM...). The database sizes are covered in the installation master guides for the respective scenarios.
I assume you mean the size of the data volumes. Well, I can't give you a number but how to set up the systems wanted, look at the fill level of the data volumes and take this as starting point for a minimal sized MaxDB for the intended purpose?
